Getting started

Getting your Relish Hub up and running couldn’t be easier. You simply:

  • Plug your hub into a plug socket using the extra-long power adapter and switch on at the plug socket
  • Get your device set up in the right spot
  • Try a few different spots to find the best signal
  • Wait a few minutes whilst your hub sets itself up
  • Connect your devices to your hub and you’re ready to go

Choosing the right spot

To get the best possible service from Relish, your hub should be positioned in the ideal spot to get the best signal. The stronger the signal to your hub, the better your broadband connection.

  1. The Relish Hub should be placed on a windowsill with the Relish logo facing out, or as close to this as possible.
  2. Try the hub at different windows and facing different directions to see where you get the strongest signal. Even minor adjustments can make all the difference to your service!
  3. Keep your hub away from nearby obstructions to get the strongest signal. E.g. potted plants, photo frames, or any electronic equipment.
  4. Top tip: Do not have curtains/blinds drawn between the hub and the window.

Connecting to your hub

There are several ways to connect to your hub.

To connect via WiFi: search your devices’ available WiFi connections, select your hub’s network name (SSID) and enter your WiFi password (these can be found on the label on the back of your hub).

To connect via the network cable: connect the cable from the network LAN port on the hub to the device you are using.

  1. RESET
    • To restart your hub and restore all of its original settings, press and hold the reset button for 5 seconds with a pinor something similar.
  2. WPS
    • WiFi Protected Set up – see below for more information.
  3. WLAN
    • The WLAN button turns your WiFi on or off – press and hold for 5 seconds.
  4. SIM card slot
    • Your device comes with the SIM already inserted.
  5. Power button
    • Turns your device on and off.
  6. Power socket
    • Plug the power cable in here.
  7. WAN
    • As our hub is wireless you shouldn’t need your WAN socket – we’re that easy
  8. LAN
    • You have 4 ports to connect other devices to your hub through a network cable rather than over WiFi.
  9. TEL
    • Used to plug into an internet phone if you want to use VOIP (voice over IP). Don’t plug me into a landline - I don’t work with a landline cable.
  10. Hub display
    • Indicator lights showing you how your hub is working, illustrated below.

Signal lights

Higher signal bars means a stronger signal
and therefore a better broadband connection.
Make sure you get the most bars when setting

Power light

The light turns green when the hub is turned on

WiFi light

The light turns green when WiFi is turned on. There is no light when the WiFi is off

Network light

The light is green when the hub is connected to the Relish network. It turns red when the LTE network is not connected. If there is no light try taking the SIM out and re-insert it

LAN 1-4 lights

The light turns green when the hub is connected with a device via the Ethernet cable

Connecting using WPS

WPS is an even easier way to connect your device to your Relish Hub. If your device supports WPS (many tablets and smartphones do, check their user guides for details) you can quickly connect to your hub without having to type in your SSID and WiFi Key, simply do this instead:

  • Press and hold the WPS button to connect
  • Press the WPS button on the side of the device for more than 3 seconds to enable the WPS function

Changing your settings

You can change your hub’s network name (SSID), WiFi password and other settings by logging on to your hub Management Page:

  1. Simply connect to your hub by WiFi or network cable.
  2. Open your browser and type in:

Once you’re logged in, here’s how to change your WiFi password:

  1. Click on ‘Wireless’ and then click on ‘Security’.
  2. Under security make sure the authentication is set to WPA2-Personal (Pre-Shared-Key) and change the Pre-Shared-Key below to your new password
  3. Click ‘Apply Changes’ and you’re done!
